The Nordic Committees on Child Welfare Organizations welcomes you to the next Nordic Congress on Child Welfare in Oslo, Norway, September 2-4, 2024. This is an opportunity to engage with people from all of the Nordic Countries and beyond who feel passionate about protecting children and supporting families.
The Nordic Congress on Child Welfare is a co-operation between the Nordic countries and has been held every three years since 1921. The Nordic countries share the honor of hosting and in 2024 it is Norway’s turn to host this historic congress! This an opportunity to engage with and learn from both practitioners and researchers from all of the Nordic Countries.
The main subject of the congress is The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) in Policy and Practice - What can we learn from the other Nordic countries? and we are about to finalize an exciting program with a broad range of speakers and parallel sessions. The programme is designed to support the Nordic countries’ in the practical implementation of the CRC through sharing experiences and development of new knowledge.
We hope you will enjoy the late summer season in our beautiful city! It is a perfect time to visit Oslo. We will offer an attractive program for two days, a reception and a preconference with the possibility of field work visits to several innovative child welfare projects and practices in Oslo. It will also be an opportunity of visiting some of the new spectacular buildings in Oslo: The Opera House, The Munch Museum, The National Museum and the National Library of Norway.
