Abstract guidelines ISSPD Oslo 2021

Please read these instructions carefully before preparing your abstract.

  • The deadline for abstract submission is 15 April 2021.
  • Notice of acceptance will be e-mailed to the submitting author by 15 May 2021
  • The organisers reserve the right to accept or refuse any abstract, to designate papers as either oral or poster presentations and to choose a suitable session for the abstract.
  • The submitting and presenting authors must register as a congress delegate and pay the registration fee. Abstracts without paid registration fee will not be accepted for the congress or published in the abstract book.
  • All accepted abstracts will be published in the conference app.
  • If you experience problems in registering the abstract through the web site, please contact the congress organisers by e-mail abstractisspd@gyro.no

Submission types

You can choose between the following submission types:

  • Poster
  • Oral presentation (individual)
  • Invited symposium
  • Free symposium

Invited and free symposium

The chair should submit an abstract with a brief summary of the symposium (maximum number of words: 300). The summary should include an introduction of the topic, the objectives of the symposium, short sections including names of the presenters and the topics of the individual presentations, and a concluding section summarizing the expected learning outcomes for the audience from the whole symposium.

In addition, each author needs to submit their individual abstract and as Submission type choose either Invited or Free symposium and under Additional information indicate which symposium the abstract belongs to from the predefined menu (for invited symposium) or as free text (for free symposium).

Themes

When submitting your abstract, choose the theme below that most closely matches your work. You can also choose 'Other' if none of the themes are appropriate.

  • Basic Sciences (Neurobiology, Genetics)
  • Epidemiology
  • Psychotherapy and Treatment
  • Service User and Family Engagement
  • Taxonomy and Diagnosis
  • Development and outcome
  • Functional domains of living (social functioning, professional functioning, parenting)
  • Other

Review criteria

All abstracts will be reviewed by members of the scientific committee using a blind peer review system. The criteria will comprise scientific merit, interest to the meeting and overall acceptability.
