Details
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are among today’s most pressing environmental and health challenges. Their persistence and toxicity threaten drinking water, wastewater systems, and ecosystems across the Nordic region. Traditional remediation has often focused on end-of-pipe solutions, while the root causes—upstream sources and systemic lock-ins—remain insufficiently addressed.
This workshop will provide a platform for exploring holistic and innovative approaches to PFAS management, combining upstream interventions, policy innovation, and advanced treatment technologies.
Through keynote presentations, short pitches, interactive group discussions, and panel dialogues, participants will engage in cross-sectoral exchange on how to strengthen PFAS mitigation efforts. The aim is to move beyond isolated solutions and build integrated frameworks that support sustainable water management.
